AquAero – History

AquAero is a spin-off company of the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland founded in 2014. The company is part of the Institute of Thermal and Fluid Engineering. During a development period of 8 years with successful commissioning of three laboratory plants (2017, 2019, 2021), a technology was developed that was originally intended for water harvesting, in the meantime was meant for industrial air dehumidification and now, after mature functionality and through adaptation, can be excellently used for industrial material drying. PURE Steam Drying is distinguished by its high energy efficiency, which can reduce energy consumption by up to 70% compared to conventional hot air drying. Through complete electrification, CO2 emissions are eliminated.
