Pure Steam Drying

Working Principle

“Pure steam drying” is the drying of materials excluding air in an atmosphere of superheated steam with temperatures below 200° C. By this system, the evaporation heat – the main energy input – can be regained easily by a high temperature heat pump and then be put back into the system. This process grants highest energy efficiency. While wet material is fed to the dryer, dried material and clean water leave the process. The water can be reused for other processes.


Materials sensitive to temperatures higher than 100°C are not suitable to be processed.

Material Handling

Depending on the material shape – mud, granules or moulds – the conveying system is adapted respectively.
